Professional Biography:

For the past 10 years, I have been employed in the Hospitality Industry, more specifically Hospitality Sales & Marketing. This experience has given me the tools necessary to perform in the corporate world.

I have learned that communication is paramount to the success or failure of a team. While my application skills are adequate for my current duties, I am hoping to learn new ways of utilizing available applications to be successful.

My greatest strength in terms of team contribution will be my keen sense of grammar. Since good grammar has proven to be a necessity for this class, I hope to use my skills to contribute to the group.

Steps I took to Complete this Assignment

1. First I opened the http://students.kennesaw.edu/~eleeds page and saved the file to a local directory on my PC.
2. Next I opened the local copy of the website in Notepad.
3. I replaced the title section of the page which read "BISM - Project Webpage" with "Summer Semester 2008"
4. I replaced "Podcasting Project" with "Webpage Project"
5. I replaced "Team 7" with "BISM 2100"
6. I replaced "Type Your Name Here" with "Ryan Gosdin"
7. For the next step, I used the Find and Replace feature to replace all instances of "Times New Roman" with "Georgia". This changed my font selection to Georgia.
8. In order to change the background image, I edited a local photo's contrast and brightness. I then cropped the photo to show only the clouds and saved it in the index_files directory. I changed the file name from the one Dr. Leeds had selected to my new file.
9. My color selections for my links needed to be brighter in order to stand out, so I selected my colors from a HTML Color List that I located online. I then located the old color selections of maroon and the numbered selection and replaced them with my own.
10. Next, I changed the photo from the one of Dr. Leeds to one of myself by placing an image file inside the index_html directory and replacing the file location in the index.htm file with the path to my new image.
11. I widened the table by changed the table width property in my local copy.
12. I replaced the links regarding Equine Rescue with my new links by locating the "A HREF" taglines.
13. I then inserted a hyperlink to my resume file. I made sure to edit my resume previously to include a link back to my homepage.
14. Finally, I replaced the paragraphs that Dr. Leeds had written with my Personal Biography, Work History, and Steps to Complete the Project. I also added underlining to highlight the sections.
15. I published my files to a free online webhosting directory.
